The Chinese Cultural Development Center (CCDC) is a well-known institution in the based in Los Angeles, specializing in exhibitions, publishing, and creative promotion.

Founded in 1995, CCDC maintains close ties with mainstream institutions in the United States and China while serving the local Asian community. Our mission is to build a bridge to promote cultural communication between China and the United States. We embrace diversity and welcome highly responsible and hardworking people to join our team.

Opening Position: Bilingual Program Coordinator (Chinese/English)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and editing content for CCDC’s commercial magazine, and independently complete editorial tasks as necessary.
  • Assist in the planning, organization, marketing, and execution of CCDC projects and events.
  • Responsible for the daily operation of official websites and social media accounts, as well as compiling and publishing weekly cultural briefings, independently completing content output.
  • Research, analyze and prepare project materials, collect data and information, and prepare relevant documents and reports.
  • Maintain contact with partners to promote the implementation of cooperative projects.
  • Complete other assigned tasks.

This is an on-site full-time position.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in both Chinese and English listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
  • Great interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and communication skills, able to work with people from different backgrounds.
  • Serious and meticulous work attitude, sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and cooperate with the team.
  • Strong research, coordination, and organizational skills, attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and complete them within urgent deadlines.
  • Proficient in using Google, Office Suite, Photoshop, Canva and other design platforms.
  • Able to travel according to project needs, may be required to work at night and on weekends.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.

Bonus qualifications:

  • Strong writing ability, experience in editing, photography, video shooting, social media and self-media operation such as IG, Little Red Book, etc. are preferred.
  • One year of marketing, cultural education service or media work experience preferred.
  • Having own vehicle is preferred.
