Time:May 21, 2011

Location:China Press Exhibition Hall

Sponsored by The Chinese Culture Development Center and McDonald’s, the China Press Los Angeles Education Exposition was held on May 21, 2011 at Rosemead Center. The Exposition aimed to enhance and coordinate flow of information about college admissions, financial aid, and study skills to Chinese American residents and their college-bound children in San Gabriel Valley.

With a clear mission to better serve the local community, the China Press Los Angeles Education Exposition was a non-commercial event and opened to the public without charge. Over fifteen informative seminars and workshops on college application, standardized test preparation, college study skills, and college education financial planning were scheduled to give attendees a panoramic walk-through of the application process and help more local students have a smooth transition from high school to college.

The China Press Los Angeles Education Exposition provided opportunities for students to have face-to-face meetings with admission officers from eight major higher education institutions in Southern California (UCLA, UC Irvine, California State University Los Angeles, Pasadena City College, East Los Angeles College, Los Angeles Harbor College, and Los Angeles Valley College). The Exposition also provided free SAT and PSAT Practice Test to students above 9th and 7th grade, respectively.
