Co-organized by Chinese Culture Development Center, Pacific Asia Museum, and Sino US Performing Arts Organization, 2013 Mid-Autumn Moon Celebration was held on October 6, 2013 at Pacific Asia Museum.
The Mid-Autumn Moon Celebration was an annual cultural event bringing the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival to the diverse community of Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. Visitors of all backgrounds had the opportunity to experience Chinese folk art demonstrations, traditional music performances, painting and calligraphy demonstrations, and a Shaolin Kung-fu performance, presented throughout the day. In addition, visitors also were able to participate – trying on traditional Chinese folk costumes, decorating lanterns, and tasting tea and moon cakes.
