2009 First Culture of China Festival of Spring Show

The First “Cultures of China Festival of Spring” convert was held on February 7th, 2009 in Los Angeles, making it one of the first cities in the world to host this event.

China Ethnic Song and Dance Ensemble performed at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, filling up the 3000 seats with a full house. Tibetan singer Ngawang and Mongolian singer Sa Ren Hu sang their classic folk songs “Road to the Heaven” and “My home on the Beautiful Grassland”. Mongolian instrument morin khuur player Chao Ke played “Thousand Horses Running”. Dancers from China Ethnic Song and Dance Ensemble gracefully performed classic folk dances, such as Dai dance “Shao Duo Li”, Uygur dance “Bowl”, Mongolian dance “Galloping”, etc. Famous singers Dong Wenhua and Yan Weiwen sang many of their hit songs like “The Full Moon”, “The story of Spring”, and “The Moment of Homesick”, bringing the audience to their feet and cheering. The audience sang along to all those songs because of the fond memories and traditions of the many Chinese Locals.

The success of 2009 “Cultures of China Festival of Spring” Laid a solid foundation for future performances and established reputation among audiences in Southern California.
